About us

Dedicated to Animal Rescue

Shelter Friends Inc. was founded in 2013 by Dawn Dulle and continues to grow and save more animals every year. The mission is clear: Enable the health and well being of animals in need. We primarily care for lost, injured and homeless animals. We vet them, find transport and a foster or rescue or a forever home.

Stories of Hope

Real Stories, Real Impact

Dawn is absolutely one of the most compassionate humans I’ve come across. She has continuously helped my kitty have a chance at life when other places have told us to give up. I don’t know how I could ever properly thank her and shelter friends for providing us with the resources and information to help give my kitty the life she deserves.

Kylah Gordon

I received a message tonight about a cat that was possibly hit by a car.. It was barely breathing and had multiple bones exposed on its rear end…

It laid there for god knows how long.. Getting rained on while dying.

Mineral area refused to see because it was close to closing time.

Our next option was VSS in the city, but finding transport for a cat at 8:30PM is always nearly impossible.

Dawn Dulle agreed to help him...THE ONLY NONPROFIT AROUND THAT TAKES ON MAJOR MEDICAL CASES FOR STRAYS. Read that again...So many people reach out to me for help in emergency situations and I couldn’t help if it wasn’t for dawn. So please consider donating to this amazing organization.

Sherman Roosevelt is our newest foster family member to our bully crew. He was "conveniently" discarded like trash and came onto my radar, and I couldn't say no to him. After reaching out to multiple rescue groups for help with funding for his extensive medical needs, I was directed to Dawn Dulle at Shelter Friends, Inc., who took him on sight unseen. This woman is an angel and Shelter Friends is now providing his medical needs to get him fixed up, while we are supplying love, care, nutrition and everything in between.
